Heliconia, Parrot's Beak 'Choconiana'

I bought mine today at Lowes in Fort Worth. I've tried growing heliconia before. I've been trying to find one that would tolerate Zone 8B...Read More. The only one that seemed to survive is heliconia schiedeana. It's not likely to flower, but the foliage is beautiful. I tried planting this one last fall but it didn't seem to make it through the winter. I've decided to simply keep this one in the pot and bring it indoors when the weather turns cold.

Anyways, i was at lowes today and saw this beautiful orange flower poking up from the back of a rolling rack from across the garden center. I knew exactly what it was and bought several. They are wonderful!
