It's vigorous and it flowers more or less continuously throughout the season. No winter dieback here. The flowers are self-cleaning, more or less. Flowers are small but in good clusters, a nice dark red that doesn't blue with age.
It's a long-established rose hedge that had gotten 6' tall and wide. It was one of three plantings often used as a backdrop for wedding photos. This spring a volunteer cut it to the ground. It's now 3-4' tall, bushy, with dense, immaculate foliage and a good flower display, despite the drought.
This is not a tea rose. It has a mounding habit, but though it's sold as a groundcover rose it gets tall quickly. (I don't think any rose makes a good groundcover---who would want to weed through all the spines?)
