Clematis, Herbaceous Clematis, Late, Small Flowered Clematis 'China Purple'

I'm not sure of the variety, but this is the closest tube clematis in appearance to the ones that have been growing for several years in ...Read Moreour 4b zone (neighbor's garden). They are a darker purple than the other listed varieties. Bees and butterflies seem to love them. I collected some seeds in the fall of 2015; they ripened very late. It looks as if this strain -- at least -- may be hardier than the reported hardiness zone for the tube clematis.

Nice purple flowers and this little dickens loves to spread underground. Have to keep him from taking over the whole garden.
