But I thought I recalled having seen pix of it being predominantly orange, as pictured here. where I checked and confirmed that. I've found the photos posted here on Dave's Garden to be far more reliable & realistic than many other sources. Despite the 50% discount, I put the 'Blushing Apeldoorn' bulbs back on the shelf and put that money toward a something else for my garden.
This is the second year I've grown this tulip. As with most Darwins, last year's planting came back nicely, and the ones I added this ye...Read Morear are doing well. It's large and bright golden, edged and marked with scarlet. It is striking with other Darwins such as Holland's Glory, Silverstream, American Dream, Gudoshnik.

These start out bright yellow with a small red lining, then gradually the red spreads. Very pretty.
