Three times this winter nights went down to 20F . The 3gal. pot was snuggled near the house, so it might have experienced 24F. I thought it was nuked, but it began growing in March. Now in late May, it is 20 inches tall with many side branches and some trunk roots. I think with protection and increased trunk mass, it will survive in the ground here with only periferal damage. Probably in Z10 it will only get frost burn. Should also make a great bonsai.
