I also have the regular green pinecone ginger, which is very common here in Northcentral Flor...Read Moreida, zone 8b, but had never seen the variegated type before. It's planted under a large live oak tree--I made "borders" for tropical looking plants around this tree with fallen branches covered with Resurrection Fern.
