This is a very hardy variety in my zone 8b and I have not lost any plants to freezing. I do not mulch it for the winter. It is a profuse bloomer. It did not do much in the shade, but in an open partly sunny position It is doing well. It can take quite a bit of sun, but requires a lot of water.
It grows well in a pot in a mostly shady spot, and those are taken into the garage for the winter.
It has an attractive compact form in its open partly sunny and mostly sunny spots. They get to about 1.5', not the 3-4' stated in this listing.
