The first year we had an unusual bitter cold wind, one died and the other had die-back on the windward side. I pruned it out and it rapidly returned to a perfect mound shape. Since then has survived 10 degrees without loss of a leaf.

One of the hardiest, perhaps the hardiest of Hebes, to zone 6, and much more tolerant of Sourhern heat and humidity than any other of which I know.
