I bought a punnet of mixed broccoli seedlings at the shops and i planted them, i watched in wonder ...Read Moreas some of the plants took off & grew very large. then a yellow, green pointy centre began to appear. i was very baffled by this as the rest of the plants did look like broccoli. ha ha. so i have spent some time trying to find out what it was. i now wish to know is when to pick it & how to cook & eat it?
the plant is very lush, healthy, & bugs seem to hate it, as it doesnt get caterpillars or thrip. is this plant GM or an old type seed?
