It can set buds multiple times on each inflorescence. Shortly after the corollas (flowers) are shed, cut all the pedicels (and I know this can be tedious) without cutting any woody stems. About two weeks later you'll see a second cycle of bloom. And after those corollas are shed, you can cut the new pedicels for a third round of bloom, if you have the patience.

Flowers open deep lavender-violet and gradually fade to white over about a week before dropping. They may be called mauve, but not rose.

The garlic scent is only released if the leaves are rubbed or crushed. Otherwise the plant is odorless.

When its cultural needs are met, it regularly blooms both spring and fall (hence the epithet "aequinoctialis", as it blooms mostly towards the equinoxes) and sporadically at other times. Here near Guadalajara it blooms most heavily in August-September and March-April, about 12 weeks out of the year with deadheading.

Full sun is needed for good bloom.

This climber in my place has grown to a height of 25 feet + . It could have attained more height , but I get it pruned yearly. And it needs support to climb.
It flowers very profusely two-three times a year. Some pods are formed may be Seeds are also formed , which I could not collect.
