Although it seems to come into bloom a little later then others it still blooms from late spring until winter. The flowers are bright red with a yellow stamens. It will get quite tall in our area 9. It is about 8 ft tall and has long very thorny branches. Make sure you plant it away from walk ways or areas you need to get to often. I found this out the hard way. If you want a plant to prevent intruders this is the rose for it. I got caught under it recently doing some work in the yard and had a hard time getting out from under it. So learned my lessen to keep in off the ground, so I can get around it, and keep it trimmed back.
I have had not blackspot problem with this rose. We are pretty hot and pretty dry and although I have black spot on some of the other roses this one has none, thankfully, because I can't imagine trying to get into it to remove any blackspot.

The color is similar to Altissimo. Great, great rose in the right conditions.
