All my wallflowers came through smashingly and covered themselves in bloom. In the past, I haven't always been so lucky, but some always survive.
"Blood Red" is exactly what it says on the tin: blood red velvet petals. My only gripe is no fault of the plant's, but it surprised me to see how many colors clash with deep red! White daffodils were fine, but peach and apricot "pink" daffodils didn't go well, and the soft light blue of annual woodruff Asperula orientalis just isn't strong enough to balance it. One website, http://www.crocus.co.uk, suggests combining "Blood Red" with "rich purples, oranges, and yellows." The simplest way to do this is to plant Wallflower "Fire King" with, or instead of, "Blood Red": the flickers of scarlet, orange, and gold, different for every plant and every bloom, bring excitement to crimson.

Now I am just waiting on the seed pods to ripen so that I can get the seeds started for next year!!
