I 'm recently disappointed about the very tiny yellow flowers of S. roborowski that I've pulled out. It is flowering for the first time for me after sowing. I've planted the seedlings out in spring 2003.
I like it that it's flowering somewhat later in the season (august). As far I can judge it: it's a keeper in my garden.
Salvia glutinosa is also called Sticky Sage. The calyx of the flower is very sticky..
