Flower moderate pink with small, brilliant yellow center Petal wide, round tip, moderately overlapping; wide, strong pink band on back; heavy texture Size three-and-one-quarter inches in diameter Scent slight lemon scent Stalk strong red, hairy, upright, tight flower clusters Keeping quality very good Leaves light green with acute tips Plant habit upright, open branching; suitable for landscaping Bearing habit March to October, moderate to heavy flower production Parentage P. rubra f. rubra x P. r. f. acuminata Remarks This cultivar is susceptible to the long-horned beetle, which kills branches by its boring. It is recommended for home lawns and commercial nurseries with an insecticide program.
