The Northwestern Crow is quite common in my area. In the late fall a murder of this crow fill the air en-masse in the evenings as they fly inland to a local low-lying lake. The sky can be almost 1/3 filled with these birds in the evening as they travel inland and can be easily observed as you are entering or leaving the #1 Highway from Grandview Highway (entering or leaving Vancouver, BC). It's like Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds".
