I live in the very south and eastern part of Netherlands and therefore a little on their migration flyway to the wetlands of Northern and Eastern Europe and back to the wetlands of Southern Europe and Northern Africa. So I can spot mostly (sometimes they fly over at night and I cannot watch them) their typical flight in V-formation and being very noisy. You can hear them coming from a distance. This year they were still flying over during early december. Oooh..it's such a wonderful sight.
