A pair of zebra doves decided to nest on some shelving located at my front door between my plants. I fed & kept watch on the nesting bird & was delighted to see the baby birds. The mommy bird, I think it is, sits on the nest all day to keep the babies warm & feeds them; the daddy bird comes & goes & seems not afraid of me.
The birds in the park become pests because humans feed them; can't blame the birds for looking for a free lunch.

The Zebra Dove (Geopelia striata) is the most abundant and fearless bird, in the tourist district, of Waikiki, Hawaii. It is a tiny little dove. Zebra Doves are common around human habitation. They are pests coming to the tables, of open air restaurants, in Waikiki. I had Zebra Doves try to snatch food off from my plate, on several occasions.
