Found throughout eastern North America, this insect mimics the Yellow Jacket. It is a nectar feeder and is beneficial in pollinating many plants.
Also known as the 'Good News Bee' because of it's habit of buzzing loudly around people's heads. Applachain folklore states that if one buzzes you, you will receive good news shortly.
