Called Blue Argus here, a very common butterfly which likes open, sunny places. Sometimes seen drinking from puddles or damp spots on the ground. Very flighty and difficult to get close. The one in the photo I uploaded was relatively newly emerged and tended to rest despite all the activity with the camera around it. Photo taken 14 March 2009.

This one was captured in my backyard. Not easy to get a good perch for a decent shot.
