This bug has been found in Oldsmar Florida (Tampa Bay Area) and have been eating the foliage on my Sweet Gum Trees.

Since the larvae to this moth is gregarious, a lot of damage can be done to one tree. A special note that they can injure apple trees.

Host plants include apple, blueberry, elms, hickories, maples, persimmon, poplars, walnut, willows, and many other trees and shrubs.
