Not only do the mormon female butterflies have many color forms, the males will usually breed with several females.. thus they are quite appropriately named.

There can be up to 7 color forms of the female, only one for the male. Victorian collectors called them Mormons. The female forms mimic various distasteful species and may avoid being eaten by birds.
