We actually have Oxychilus draparnaudi, the Dark-bodied Glass Snail, which loves Quercus agrifolia. O. draparnaudi is not (yet) listed in the BugFiles, but this is pretty close.
It seems more of these tiny snails were about this summer, than I've seen in the past. Perhaps a testament to a now functional drip system, and the existence of some moisture in the garden.
It's good to see these little beauties co-existing with the utlra-destructive Common Garden Snail (Helix aspera). Also good to know that in their lust for the Helix, our chicken's overlook these guys.
I wish there was a "CritterFile" at DG, we've got 'em!
