Lovely little butterfly, highly variable in markings.
Has a spring, and summer form.

One of our smallest and yet most brightly coloured butterflies. They emerge in late April and stick around until mid-June when they are replaved by the very similar summer azure. The larvae are attended to by ants. Larvae most often feed on pin cherry, blueberry and Viburnum.
