Another mosquito eater :)
I was able to get several nice shots of Dragonflies the day I took the one of the female shown here, this photo was one of my favorites of the day. Maybe because I had never seen one like that before . . . or maybe because it only let me get one good shot before it took off, never to be seen again. Or maybe both?
After a good deal of searching and asking around, it was determined that the photo was in fact of a Roseate Skimmer female. I had taken several good photos of the males, but this was my first encounter with the female of the species.
