Host Plants: Alders, birches, blueberries, elms, hackberries, larch, pecan, Prunus species, sumac, walnut, willows and other trees and shrubs.

In England this moth is known as the Peppered Moth.

I collected the caterpillar that I have shown and reared him in the cathouse on sumac and he did pupate, so we'll see if we get a moth this year.
