2009 Blooms Yeah!
Congrats Andrew! Even the most subtle colored Lily bloom is a joy at this time of year!
A new lily ~ how fun!
Very nice. I see you have some other hanging around there looking to do the same thing. wonderful!
Is this one of your crosses, Andrew? :) I like it, I think it's a pretty lily. :)
I think it is very pretty too. I have been thinking about trying to cross my own lilies to see what I get too.......
Yes it is one of my babies.
cool. ;)
Ooooo....that is nice to see!
Stevie!! Now I am absolutely jealous!! You have lilies and peonies blooming!! :)
Andrew, that is so lovely. :)
Thanks Diann :-) yes, I am in a happy place now! ^_^ The above is my only lily acually blooming though. I was worried because I have a whole section plantedwith Buggy bulbs and saw no activity yet (other than Good Night) but today found stalks just emerging from the soil after today's heavy rain.
Andrew, you do a great job with your crosses. Love the orange one as well.
I love it! I have a thing for the small lilies.
Very pretty, Intercessor.
Steve,
Good night! That "Good Night" is awesome.
Mine Asiatic's are barely showing through the dirt! lol It's O.K. ...I have some patience left. ^_^
But, my, that dandelion is doing well.
Don't they always? Rotten little buggers...
First thing to show up in my garden
Same here....it even beat the crocus.
It's an evergreen here, no kidding.
So pretty Nery!! And your verdant lawn behind makes the colors pop!
Agreed - that looks very nice, Nery - and how'd you get such green grass so quickly?? Ours is just NOW greening up!!
awe, you guys. But I want you to know I just yanked Mark to read your kind posts and you made him beam as well. He cares for the lawn using Jerry Baker potions (I know, I know) &that's what keeps it looking this way so I don't hassle him about JB anymore. Also, it rained cats and dogs last weekend and you know how pretty stuff looks afterwards.
ST Augustine grass.
Steve~
Those pictures are sure making me long for some warm weather so mine will G-R-O-W! The yellow one is such a sunny, happy color it just makes me smile, and the orange/red simply smoulders....Thanks for sharing your pics with bloomless in vancouver!!(that's me LOL ☻)
Jamie
Thanks Jamie :-) From what I have seen from posters on the West Coast, you shouldn't be too from some nice activity soon ^_^
Beautiful, as usual, Steve! Nice to start seeing this year's pics...What is the red/orange one?
Thanks Chocolatemoose :-) The Orange one was my first to bloom - called "Good Night" and got it from BuggyCrazy.
My Lily Garden order came today - Radiance, Rococo and Silk Road - and I got an order of Silk Roads from Wayside last week :-)
Steve, How were your Silk Roads from Wayside?
Becky,
They weren't bad. Not huge bulbs but very healthy appearing and I got them into some soil right away. I have ordered SR bulbs from Wayside three or four times now, I also ordered some from Lily Garden as well and those came last night and were noticeably larger to the touch but I haven't taken them out of their packages yet. I have ordered SR from Lily Garden in the past and the bulbs were always difficult to distinguish from the ones I got from Wayside. These LG bulbs this year are significantly larger and less expensive too - and I ordered three SR and she sent me five! ^_^
Steve
Steve I love the freebie surprises on expensive bulbs!
Thanks Steve. I am in love with SR as well as some of the others, just concerned about the height. We can have some pretty strong winds here & I would hate to see them snap off. Do they need to be staked?
