Hang in there, Jan. Hope you all stay safe and dry and warm through this.

oooooooooh - An anti-winter Mascot!
Hi Kate! How's things? Are you planning a trip to Bend this summer? If so, let me know!
Susan105
Yes i will be going to Bend, or my folks will have me strung up.
I really want to go fly-fishing in central Oregon, but it's still too chilly for me.
Another couple months or so.....hope Dad is patient!
I hope so too! Yes, it is very chilly! May would be a much better month for fly fishing. Keep me posted, we've got to get together when you come!
Susan105
Trish...that's the best laugh I've had all day. That BBQ kind of typifies how we all feel when it gets nasty!
Jan, hope your day goes well even with the snow.
rc....too bad they didn't have what you wanted. You'll find them eventually.
Glad you enjoyed it...I had to laugh when I saw it too! I have a brother and brother in law who grill year round, rain, shine or snow.....my brother is in Juneau and I could just picture him there in the snow with the grill going! My BIL is special (he lives here in town)....he is in his 70's and besides grilling in the winter, he wears shorts all year round......when my husband's other sister lost her husband my BIL had to go out and buy a pair of long slacks to wear to the funeral!
It has been a long day...and a wet one! Laura and I spent the day moving boxes to the new house. The guys came home at five and started moving the big stuff. A friend of my son in law was helping as he has a truck.....first trip over Dave ran into their new neighbor's car!! I guess they got everything worked out Sean said the neighbors were actually "pretty cool about it." I am just glad it was Dave and not my son or son in law that was driving! I helped with light boxes during the day but I don't do furniture....I brought Sage home with me and fed her and we played with clay until they came to get her.....figure that was a good contribution having made many a move with children under foot. Now it is quiet, think I am going to have a nice glass of wine and go to bed myself. There will still be plenty left to do tomorrow.
Have a good night everyone.
Thanks Sally! I know I will get them someday. Don't worry though, I didn't go away empty handed :-p I had budgeted for some hellebores so, I had to get Something! . I also had a few to get for folks for gifts (I know that the want hellebores - so it want be an eventually dead gift).
Can't wait to see what you got. Mine aren't blooming yet. One is that Metallic Blue and I can't think of the name of the other, but it has different colored flowers.
Give yourself plenty of time if you have to go to work tomorrow. It's really foggy. Lost Pisgah before dark and I can't see across the street.
well, I'm sort of hesitant to post what I got because I was shopping for myself and another. I had a limit for them (the definite larger budget) and a limit for myself, combined the budgets. then went around collecting the plants that I liked the best. then from the group of plants they can pick x number of plants that fit the amount they wanted to spend. The rest will be mine. I liked doing it that way so that I don't have to worry about who likes which plant best or which I think that I'll like better, since I only picked out plants that I really like! How's that for a strange way of shopping?? I'll post a couple of the pics if you want to see, but they might not end up being mine.
Believe me... I'm up. I forgot to take my thyroid med until early this evening. It wakes me up for a while!
rc.......♪♪♪ Happy Birthday To You ♪♪♪ ♪♪ And Many More ♪♪
SHHhhhhhhhh............ that's just between you and me :-p lol Thanks, that's a very well written rendition too!
Too Late!!
I can try can't I? lol I'm going to have to try to find a way to make it so my day doesn't show up there next year!!
Why? Everybody deserves a special day all for themselves. If you don't like the age thing (I always have to figure mine out) just stop counting them. We celebrate birthdays all month. Have coupons for several restaurants, two casinos and we try to take advantage of them all. LOL Mom thinks it's a hoot and she's going to be 95 in May.
When I'm 95, I'll definitely love to celebrate my birthday as I'll be very happy to have made it there. right now it's just sort of "neahhhh, after 21.....they're all down hill! I had family here this weekend. We sort of did a big family birthday thing on Saturday since several of us have March birthdays. myself, then there is my: brother in law, nephew, aunt, sister, and uncle. I like looking at it that way.... a big family birthday.
I don't get to do that anymore, so I'm envious. Anyway, enjoy your special day!!
Oh Wow!! They're all pretty!! You should pick one out of the bunch to put aside for your Bday.
Now that I said that about the fog, it's started raining (seriously) and I can see across the street again. So maybe your ride will be just wet.
Time for bed. nite
Sorry, the pic didn't work. :-( Happy Birthday anyway!
Tomorrow is our DGS's Birthday, he'll be 8.

Love that grill picture!!!
:) I didn't see this until I'd already started a thread for your birthday, redchic. (smiling sheepishly) I really do hope you have a great one.
Jeff thinks we got about 7", but there was some blowage of it so it is hard to tell the actual amt.
Pretty helles.
Great pictures of the girls!!
Happy Birthday Shelly!!
Thanks all!
Susan, I love thinking about what the picture would be. I'm sure it's great! So, I'm happy for it anyhow. Have fun at your DGS birthday tomorrow, or whenever the party is!
Jan, I'm so glad that you didn't get the 1.5' that they were saying that you might get. Hopefully the 7" goes away soon!!
Happy Birthday RC. If you don't like the years just be happy you made if through another one and forget how many. Your hellebore are so pretty.
Love the grill picture.
G105 Lovely ladies.
We had a nice morning and now it is going to rain.
I like that!!
Happy Birthday Red! Did you get my D-mail? Let me know...
Thank you gang. I had to edit my post about the new girls, I was wrong about 2 of them and corrected my mistake.^_^
Trisha, I forgot to tell you I really like your angry BBQ!
Susan105
Yep, I agree Zm and Willow. That's so true. My grandmother had a similar sentiment: you have to options when it comes to birthdays: to have them or don't have them, but if you don't have them, then you're not around to enjoy it anyhow.
rc, the pic was of a bday cake but it wouldn't paste so here's one of my favorite pics from my garden last yr. I hope you like it!^_^ That's on the east side of the house.
We won't be going to see our DGS for his bday, just sent him a card some moola in it.^_^

I love the pic of the garden. Great work there and an awesome vantage of it. And the garden is better than a cake for the waistline anyhow! I'm sure your grandson will love the $$ and maybe the card too. Teehee.
I'm glad you like the pic, and I agree about the waistline! LOL! I know he'll like the $$, I think he'll like the card as I make my own cards and add pics. He really misses the dogs so I copied a pic of them on the card for him. This one, and the beauty of it is, I can change the size to fit the card.
