Passing the Blather Stick!!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Dahlianut, a little lesson in animal physiology: donkeys have baby donkeys, goats have baby goats. Therefore, donkeys are not generally "with goat" but rather are "with donkey"! (I know you knew that, I'm just giving you a hard time!)

However, this gal is not pregnant (she has been on a foster farm with no males) and her son, the brown one, is gelded. No more donkeys here!

Here is Kelly with the male so you can see their little size.

Yellow felt is good....

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Pictures of swims please! Pictures of swims please! (Only if the babies feel like swimming of course) And pictures of shaking and tail wiggling after please. (I'm a high maintenance friend in the winter I know... I have guilt....)

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Will have to take those tomorrow. All web-footed friends are presently sleeping. Shhhhh! (they are very noisy when awake!)

I can't wait for them to be a bit bigger and for it to be a bit warmer out so they can have sunshine swims. :-)

I really want more birds -anyone have ideas how to protect DD's swimming pool and still have ducks and geese?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Fence it in or borrow my pool loving herding dog. LOL

Clarkson, KY

I just snapped at him -may be too late?!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

He will think you are joking the brat does not understand aggression? weird dog

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

The Devil Child is a gooooooood dog but having his own puppy pool might have changed his 'pooling' persception. Are they quacking dear Claire? Even if noisyful, quacking from busy little fuzzy ones would be a good thing methinks. I totally luv the busyness of birds. Who knows whats so busy to be busy about? My wild birds are so busy it's exhausting but I still luv it.

Oh that little ducky/goose is adorable in his wittle blankie!
I just want to squeeze the stuffin out of him.
(I really would not squeeze stuff out of him)
Just love the thing A LOT!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh, they quack constantly, except for when sleeping (like now) in a big duck huddle. Or goose huddle. Whichever. They don't really quack yet, they peep-quack. It is a different sort of peep from a chick peep, but not a quack either. Very noisyful.

Sewincircle. I already squoze the stuffin' out of him! LOL! They are all adorable. He/she calmed right down on my lap in the blankie. I will do blankie sessions with all of them over time.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

They will really get to know you that way! They sure are sweet!
Did you find out a definative answer to duck/ goose?
Darn, I missed the stuffing squeezin! MAN!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

No definite answers, but lots of guesses. I think I will ask on BYC.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

They sure are cute either way! Jyl just posted she thinks them all to be ducks! Yeah!
Ducky wuckys! quackers and all!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I just saw that! How cool is that! I have ducks! Woo hoo! Widdle biddy duckie wuckies.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

And yummy omelets! Huge eggs for cooking! woooohooo!

Clarkson, KY

Just a widdle bittie quackie-wackers? Because I'm greeeeeeeennnnn.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Yes, I would love some too. DH has clipped that dream for now. :(
Maybe by spring....plot plot plan plan...

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Ohhhh! Wook at da wittle itty-bitty baby duckie and donkey. Dey are sooo cute!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

The duck actually looks fake, it is so yellow! I sure would like to play with him!
quack quack wiggle wiggle waddle waddle! ^_^

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Careful Sewincircle, don't put your back out!

The ducks are all well this morning and eager for their water and non-medicated chick feed. I'm going to the feed store on my way home from work to get waterfowl feed.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

That sounds like such fun! Dont forget swimming pool party pics! ^_^
I am warmed up and stretched out. I should be okay.
As long as I dont break dance. hehehe

Foley, MO

I'm trying to think of a good reason why we now need a miniature donkey. ; )

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

ummmm...because it will make the big ones feel more important and taller?
It will give the neighbors something to talk about?

Foley, MO

I don't have bigger ones. Give me a different reason..... ; )

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I wonder if I can pass one off as a strange dog.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Donk-y-poo. Get it a dog licence and you're laughing unless you have Chicken Police sigh.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Or I could get a harness and pass one of as a seeing eye donkey!!!!!

(Zone 7b)

Has anyone seen Grow i Came back on the forum to Apoligize for not helping her with the wake. I told her i would help and then i got sick and i didn't apoligize when i was here today.
I looked at the other threads but didn't see her?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I was thinking that maybe if a chicken, duck or lap donkey was an employee it would get around the Chicken Police. A personal shopper maybe or a gardener assistant?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I do not think I have seen her today.
