Back from vacation....

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I tried in the morning, the evening, it is SUCH a BEAUTIFUL flower. I know, you guys see me write this all the time, but its elegance is something to treasure, isn't it llilyfan?

The girls and I made these stepping stones last year (thanks Moby) and I thought havingmany of those species, recurved ones nearby the stones would be lovely. And, I must say, I'm really enjoying it.

Because I love it then find space for it, I can't say my gardening style will win any hearts. But I truly adore what I plant and enjoy the blooms. And when it turns out neat a time or two, well, that's enough for me.

Just stunning . . . all of them

Mags, sometimes I think that such beauty is meant to be enjoyed and admired only in person. The true beauty of Morden Butterfly and many others escapes capture by the camera.

My gardens will never win awards either mags, but they have won my heart and that is the only thing that counts. I think I will quit apologizing for my cluttered and chaotic cottage style of gardening!

I really don't think any of you have anything to apologize for. We are way harder on ourselves than we need to be (except for me. :) ).

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

yeah sure Diann! I could have written your comment. :-p

Whitehall, WI(Zone 4a)

How tall is your Godzilla going to get? I'm guessing it's an OT?

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Ha, this is for Mary Mobilina "Go go go Godzilla!" I've been wanting to do that all day. :) LOL

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

LOL ya goof

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

7 or 8 feet I think. It's larger than it was last year.

'Geisha Girl' from my front window. The only bad thing about being over 7 feet tall is that her fragrance I need that step ladder to obtain.

Priceless beauty.

Gives me great expectations for my new Japanese hybrids, I hope they grow up to be as beautiful as yours.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

It's the greatest compliment coming from you llilyfan. I'd just about bet money that yours will too and it won't take long either.

Who knows who this one is. I moved a bunch of stuff last year and this straggler got left behind.

We had torrential rains and hail last night and I am constantly reminded on how resilient these beauties are. Fragile? Not really.

I really like all the hues of color scattered with the spots. GEXR 10 has a bit smaller of a flower than GEXR 8

I have a Queen Strain lily from Buggy, but I have no idea if it has a number or not...

But those are lovely. :)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I like them because not only of the color, but of the heat tolerance ;)

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

More beauties . . keep them coming!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Love those Queens!

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

One that I think no one has posted yet.

"Royal Song" think it is an LA according to the leaves and texture of them.

Going to have to trade with some one this fall as lilies sure have increased.

Max,
Your beds are breathtaking . . . you have so much room!

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

We cross posted; another breath taking pic!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

You have so much stuff in there, it looks so full and vibrant.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Great landscaping, Maxine....that last one with your house to the side would be a great postcard picture!

^_^

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Oh no kidding, Steve is so right abou that being postcard or calendar material.. You need to submit it to Dave's picture contest for the DG Calendar. :)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Great idea. What about you Ticker, you have some awesome shots of your beds. Shouldn't the whole calendar be lilies? :0)

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Mags, you're kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. You should be showing some of your garden shots, m'dear. :)
