'Sunny Crown' a real cutie!

Ooooh it is. Mags, do you realize you are one of the major reasons I started taking lilies seriously? Thanks sweetie! I think. :) LOL

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I like that one!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

So many beauties ... If I started a list, it'd be as long as I am tall. :-)

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Another question again, Mags.
Where did you purchase "Sunny Crown"?
Asiatic or trumpet?

Maxine

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I purchased 'Sunny Crown' in Spring 2007 from the Lily Nook, but I see B & D has it now. It is an OA (oriental x asiatic). It's a special one. The two colors on this lily are not only unusual, but very complimentary. Love it.

'Sunny Crown' is going on my list

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

My list too!

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Wow Tracey - those are phenomenal - what a collection you have!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

This one I bought as 'Lemon Meringue', but it is not. It's a cheery yellow with a great smell.

I think this is one I bought a few years ago as some Japanese something or another (technical I know ;) ), but it never bloomed until this year. I don't know what it is, but the color is very unique as is the flower.

Wow, mags! So many special and unusual varieties! Sabeneto, Pink Pagoda, Merry Minstrels, Lord Samuel Hood, the 'Crown' series- just wonderful! Well, they all are! And how nice to have such beauty awaiting your return from vacation :-)

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Tracey, I love the "Fairest", "Sabaneto" and the "Crown" lilies you have. I ordered some Sunny Crowns from B&D a few weeks ago so I am glad you posted your picture. Really like the "Elegant Crown" too but didn't see it offered. Are those Crown lilies fragrant? I just love all of the cool new crosses they're coming up with.

Also love your unidentified yellow you thought was "Lemon Meringue" - just the kind I would order LOL.

You just have a beautiful collection and your picture quality is outstanding.

Wow is all I can say! And the list just keeps getting longer.

Here is one I fell in love with and had to have for my garden, Ray Baron an LA

Gorgeous

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

It is gorgeous! Thank you for joining in here llilyfan ;) I love the lilies with names (like people's names, named after someone) and I think if I were a hybridizer, I'd have all sorts of named themed lilies from family names to people who have inspired my life. Naming them would be some of the fun part, now wouldn't it?

Steve, thanks. Neither of the crowns have the fragrance of the oriental in them, at least not that I can smell. It's always great to share with someone with as close to the same taste as we have ;)

Oh my gosh, Mags. Where did you have all those lilies tucked away when we visited your gardens last yr.?

They are yummy!!

Maxine

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

None of them were blooming Maxine ;that was the trouble with that tour ;) They don't look quite as nice in bud stage. Lol.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

I love the "Yellow Whoppers", Tracey - a really striking yellow!

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I've been wanting Yellow Whoppers for a while now...might have to break down now=)
Satin Slippers is so pretty! I just bought 5 of them at the B&B end of season sale:) so I'm really excited. They're trying to bloom but they are just too tiny this late in the season. Maybe next year though. They are all about 12" tall and have 6-8 buds on the top of each stem.

LO 'Eagle'

The LOs have some of the nicest perfume out there. They seem to do well in my Midwest garden.

Yes dmac, isn't it great??? I want one too. I love yellow lilies.

LOL Tracey we'll see how they do in my "southern plains" garden as I ordered several LO's myself this year! "Eagle" is beautiful!! I ordered "Long Island" and "Bright Brilliant" for fall delivery.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

That Robinson's Comet must be a real fast grower! It was a real bulbil making machine for me. I just went out and checked and indeed the bulbils are forming again.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I had put a couple outside and a couple inside. Clearly the ones outside liked the amount of rest they got or the amount of snow we got ;). The inside ones did well too, but no blooms on them. It's an adorable lily pard.

This is 'Yellow Whoppers' first year here, I liked the contrasting yellows.

'Satin Slippers' is cute, but I'd say it didn't turn out too much like the picture on the web. It's nice, but I bought it for something a little darker. Who knows, maybe I got the wrong one.

Great lilies, love that Pink cream. I used to have Wanda, but it's that same old deer story.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Ooo, that Pink Cream is divine!
