Back from vacation....

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Magnolia, where did you get that Pink Cream? That one is real nice!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Why Buggy, of course ;) I really like it a lot. The pictures on the website don't do it justice.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Oh no! Look what it says on her site:

"Not available for 2008, early this spring the newly emerging bulbs were promptly trampled and mangled by a marauding dog that repeatedly broke into our field at night attempting to kill whatever it could catch."

Guess I'll have to wait till next year. Darn!

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Rats:) I'm definitely going to get some stuff from Buggy this year. Ooh! and I just sent my check to PNWLS for a 2 year membership.

Really beautiful lilies everyone--mine seem to come and go so quickly so seeing all these here give me an extended season:lol:

Wow, mags! Your yellow OT variation gives me the impression double OTs are soon to be seen on the horizon! Thats exciting! I agree with others sentiments on Pink Cream- lovely and special :-)

Mags,
Does that weird variation bloom that way every year?

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I haven't seen it happen before on this one. There's always a strange thing or two going on round here, and maybe that is because I am noticing things more than I used to too. Who knows. I bought the lily some years ago and it thrives here, but it was some mix up at the garden center, so I just leave it without a tag. Some angles I got with my camera almost reminded me of a cupped daffodil (and I have a lot of those around here too) . I got this great name for a lily/daff cross a laffodil or how about daffolil.

Enough nuttiness. Out to see what other goodies opened after last nights rain.

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

a picture of a lily called Mt. Dragon asiatic. First time it bloomed since being put in the ground last yr.

Whoooooohhh recd. 1/4" of rain overnight, so sprinklers are going now. Have to water 1x a week here on this sand in order to keep things alive.

Magnolialover does the Griesbach Tetra Pink not have pollen or did you just remove it? I have it ordered and planned to use it in some crosses but if it is pollen less that limits it ability for crossing.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

I love your kind of mayhem... :)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I pulled the pollen right away for crosses. Bought that for the same reason you did ;) Good eye peach.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Holy cow Mags, what is that thing growing right next to your deck?

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

'Godzilla', fitting, don't you think?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)
