Back from vacation....

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I thought if I posted under Summer Lilies I'd have the dial up people crazy.

One great thing about coming home is seeing all that has gone on since I was away. How does all this happen in one week??

Here is 'Sabeneto'

I'm just so happy it's lily season finally. A new surprise each and every day. Don't you just love it?

And thank you llilyfan and tazzy for visiting my gardens ;) I've been drooling over these threads for weeks and now I finally have something to share.

'Starburst' is amazing. Last year one powerful, wonderful stem...this year three giant stems full of glowing blossoms.

I agree! Lilies and photos are both beautiful. Do you think you'll add any of these to Plant Files?

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

Simply gorgeous, flowers and phots.

And add another Alexy.....Tropical Breeze and starburst were already on it!

I know I really should take the time to add to plant files. It helps us all out really. Thanks pirl and wickerparker.

Beautiful!!
I do believe that I need MORE lilies!!! The asiatics are blooming here now, putting on the show while the orientals get ready.

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Mags, where did you purchase the lily "Starburst"?

all of your lilies are gorgeous. Mine are just starting, some of the asiatics but none of the OT'S , trumpets or O/Ps.

Got 'Starburst' from Buggy Crazy two years ago.

And thank you for all your nice comments; they mean a lot.

Oh Mags, those are just so beautiful!!! I can hardly wait to see what you'll have blooming tomorrow!!! This is just like being in a chocolate shoppe! Yeah!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Please, this isn't my thread, feel free to add to this. I just didn't want to bog down the last lily thread by adding 16 photos.

(Zone 5a)

I love those first two lilies - so delicate.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Sweetie, I know how many lilies you have. You could rival the Lily Nooks picture library! Keep the lilies coming.. :)

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

They are so beautiful:) Between the Summer Lilies Part 3 photos and yours I'm in awe! I hate to have to ask but I've checked out most of the usual suspects as far as places that sell lily bulbs online and haven't noticed many of the varieties from the photos available. Would it be too greedy/nosy to ask where to find some of these? I know many of ya'll are Lily Society members, so is that the source for some of the not as widely/commercially available lilies? Happy Merry Birthday to me if it is because I will join:LOL:

Your wait was worth it. An enchanting stroll down lily lane.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I have to say, I really recommend that if you are a lover of lilies, you join either a local lily society or like me, not having one close by, the Pacific Northwest Lily Society graciously accepts mail orders for their lily sales. The prices are good and you get some more interesting choices from local growers (US growers, like those in the Northwest and those in Canada) that are not always made available to sell to the masses. The price is $15 a year for PNWLS and that includes you in two sales. Here's the link.
http://www.pnwls.org/

I think PNWLS is the only one that mail orders and I have to thank them each and every time, because if not for them, I would most certainly miss out on being involved in a society at all, because of where I am located.

I take so many pictures because first I archive them for myself and then I share with you. Between labeling, archiving on the web and posting here, hopefully I will grow up and keep things straight. My attempt (note*attempt*) at being organized.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks so much for the info and the link! As lily addicted as I am, I'm thinking PNWLS would be a great option for me.

Beautiful, Mags!
