Trop, your pics are fantastic (lol at trying to make Kell dizzy) .. and I loved seeing your Crinum, funny - I just ordered some last week after getting the latest Horticulture magazine, they had an article entitled "Plant This: Crinums" and well I'm planning on doing just that. There are alot of gorgeous colors.

Paul - I do think that is penstemon in the picture - I have some in the "drier" part of my garden as well, no probs with them, but this was the first year.... so we'll see if they hate the sogginess.

Red, crinums are so cool, I got lots of them this year, so hopefully they end up doing well for you, I hear they multiply pretty quickly too. Thanks for the compliments on the pictures, I feel like I need to get as many as I can before winter

Trop, when I was little(back in early 70's) we took a trip up to Shenandoah National Park. Pretty cool. Still miss the Appalachians, and it has been a lifelong dream to hike the Trail from Georgia to Maine.

Have ridden through most of the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiked a little of the trail but not much. Where I went to college (Western Carolina University) was not far from the Parkway, but there were so many cool waterfalls and lakes and rock faces...tubing.....I've been wanting to move back for a long time
