My two Tropicannas don't give seed.
But I am hoping this one does.
I guess I will know in about 5 weeks.
Wish me luck.

I hope they have put out some seed when I get there. ^_^
Personaly I would NEVER grow a Canna from seed.
When you have 10 different Cannas growing in close proximity.
There is a 99.99% chance of cross polination.
And what have you got then ?????
True to genus Cannas are grown from root corms.
Canna (or Canna lily, although not a true lily) is a genus of nineteen species of flowering plants.
I like the thrill of the surprise!
I have a few that I wanted specifically Tama Tulipa, Panache, Ehemanii, En Avant. The rest are from seed. I just got some seeds from Alice, I want to grow some really tall ones this year. I got Costa Rica, Argentina, Flame, Red Stripe. I like the smaller flowers.
