I finally have more canna blooms.. would rather be fishing than taking pictures of the yard but no place within 200 miles to fish! this corner is growing up nicely. I have lots of bloom stalks showing now.

mmm, everyone enjoyed their potatoes! what kinda road kill did you find andddddd what are Kiwis? - here they are just a fruit (we had some for lunch)... we had them growing at our old house, my oldest was just a baby she would scream "kwee-kweeeeeee" she LOVED them!

I've now done 5 Acres today .
When I keep on top of it , It's easy .
mowing 5 acres doesn't SEEM easy! .... can't wait to see Pepper's pictures...
must have a lawn tractor, then there's not much work involved. My boyfriend does, he's out mowing now. Just a big go-cart that leaves clippings to me, I think they're fun. Of course he has ideas that the grass is supposed to be mowed a certain way or whatever. I just want to speed around the yard in the thing. He won't let me mow cause he wants it to look like a golf course when he's done...lol

Here's where I went fishing. My dad only caught one fish and it was a baby one. There were alot of people out there and no one seemed to be catching anything, me included.
Here's another one. This is the rock ledge we stood on at one point. We moved all around the lake trying to get bites. Not much luck. I took advantage of that to take tons of pics. I am looking back where we came from.

It's caused from the sun .
It is toxic to fish and animals that drink the water .
Might explain the reason for the lack of fish ?

This algae isn't toxic. The lake is fully stocked and doing really well. We think the fish weren't biting because we have had alot of rain, therefore they have alot of food. We saw a fish, when we were at the pumphouse, that was out there playing.

That rock ledge is perfect for ginger. Very little space to walk on.

great pics, pep. Really loke that first one. Fish jumping, clear blue skies with just a touch of wispy clouds reflected in the water. With that rock edge like that, did it used to be a quarry, or is that geologically natural?
Part of it is natural and there is concrete there that you can't see that looks like it was part of something. We aren't sure. The resevoir used to provide the drinking water for the town until several years ago when the town got too big and the lake too low.
