Lefty, by all means copy off the pics!

The seed pod has a thicker bump about half way down from the top, that's where the UPO (UGO?)was.

The brown blind seed was tiny, not at all developed, but all the way down the ridges from top to bottom.

There looked to be a slightly different colour inside the UPO as if there was an embryo, but not easily seen as the UPO is translucent. I will dig it up and see if I can get a better pic, trying different backgrounds. It is difficult as it's too small to enlarge without loosing pixel quality. It was about half as thick as it was wide, with a slight dent in one side like a slight kidney shape.

I'll study it carefully, take some measurements, do my best!

Oh ye, wouldn't you know it! I can't find the durn thing! I put it in the middle just under the surface, it has to be there, surely ! Panning for UPO for the next few hours!

In the meantime, I took a pic of it on the surface, why didn't I just put it in damp tissue??? That is a 2.25" pot,

Oh well, UPO gone AWL! It's difficult to imagine it would have disintegrated, you can see the whitish patch in the last pic. Still, it may provide an interesting discussion!

Back to our other possibility! I guess you know best Lefty, IF we I get a hybrid!!!!

Now, just what do you make of this? The pod has pointed thumbs up! Is this normal?

Don't know if all lilies do it, but it'snormal for the trumpets.

Buds form pointing up.
Buds lower to horizontal and open.
Blooms droop down a bit more and wither.
Pods start moving up.
Pods ripen pointing straight up at the sky.

Would be great done in time lapse.

No I didn't raydio, you should have seen me! I had a strainer washing the gritty soil through, leaving some leafy compost bits. In the semi dark too, with an outside light! I took all the pieces out tiny bit by bit (inside), no green whatzis!

I imagine it might have changed colour, I probably mashed it looking, but it is not really important! It probably wouldn't have grown, and now I don't have to wait in suspense! I did shove what bits I had left into the pot and put it back in the propogator!

What a carry on! At least I took some pics!

O well. At least we did get to see it for a moment.

Maybe some critter ate it.

I had thought about that, I don't think there is anything in the propogator but sometimes I do find some little critters running around! I think it shouldn't have been that difficult to find if it was still around, but you know how it is when seeds get stuck up with all sorts of gunge, they are impossible to find!

Well then, it *WAS* an alien thingamajig (as we all suspected, admit it!) and it decided to go back home.

Aliens are just sooooo temperamental. But what are you gonna do? ;-)

That UGO has gloriosoides blood in it. It grew feet and walked away.

The only person who recongnized the UGO, even a little, said it looks like an insect pupae, and the fact that it was inside the pod did not strike him as unusual. Could it have morphed, got up and walked away in such a short time?

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

I wouldn't have said an insect pupae, it was definitely of vegetable matter, and no sign at all of animal life!
