I just love feverfew!! so cute -- makes a nice boarder.
when i collected the seed heads, i had them in a glass jar with the lid closed... when i took the cap off, the most wonderful aroma came out of the jar... i just walked around sniffing it. [yea... i'm weird]

Karen, the lawn is used for the cats to ummm you know lol
I did have a dickens of a time keeping them from using the
flowers beds as a litter box.

They really enjoyed sleeping under the sunflowers last year.
We planted the shorter variety - they were only 4 ft tall so they
provided plenty of shade.

Marietta, MS(Zone 7b)

Happy birthday perenniallyme. I wish you all the best on your special day!

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Good morning everyone. Wow- thanks for all the birthday wishes! It's a dark rainy day here and I slept waaay later than usual. Unfortunately not too conducive to going outside. Seed icing is always delicious. The mud cake? - well, it's the thought that counts. Probably no Legal Seafood, but my brother and SIL are taking me out somewhere for dinner tonight. Meantime, I'm going to have another several cups of coffee and try to achieve some semblance of consciousness.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Wishing you a Happy Happy Birthday Sharon. Hope it one of many and it agreat day for ya. : )

Have a great time out for dinner. You could always have mud pie for dessert. ; )

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

is there any interest in dwarf aster's? I have mixed seeds of blue, red and purple

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Are they annuals?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

nope, perennials! I like things that come back on thier own! LOL and they reseed like crazy apparently

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Star. Think I'm leaning more toward something like chocolate raspberry mousse cheesecake for dessert!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

cheesecake...I like cheesecake, Can I oink for cheesecake? LOL

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

Happy Birthday Sharon!!!!

Thanks for the list tcs!! That's a great help :-)

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Andrea!

Trina, you can oink all you want, but I don't know if it'll work.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Montrose, AR(Zone 8a)

Happy Birthday Sharon... Hope the rain stops and it turns into a beautiful night out for you...

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Trina, I would like to try those dwarf asters then! I prefer the perennial asters :-)

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

alrighty then I got ya down for some. The weather outside feels great but it's very grey...so is it gonna rain or snow?

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Trina... i haven't looked up your city... but by your zone, i'm assuming you are quite a bit south of me... I'm just west of O'Hare airport.... blue skies and light breeze here... i';m lovin it. trying to get the patio cleaned up of my ws'ing pots before winter hits.

I think i'd like to try some dwarf asters... all of mine are TALL... 3'+ and i'd like some short ones.... i do have one that I got from Gram [Jan] but have not germinated them yet... i'm assuming those are purple.

geeeze... my seed list is getting longer... i wanted to keep it short this year.

I know i'm well passed my 20 seed mark.... i do this every year.... just too many goodies... but i guess those "seed" goodies are better than food goodies...

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ok I got ya down for those...and yeah I'm down by peoria

Montrose, AR(Zone 8a)

there not as fattening anyway oink oink

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the birthday wishes, trina and huney.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I'm going to go through my pics later and see if I can't find the picture I took of them, they are cute my tallest one might be 18" they have a good spread, look like little bushes. But right now I gotta go lay down for awhile, the back has said ENOUGH! LOL

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Hey guys, do you remember this song? :

"It's my birthday and I'll oink if I want to
Oink if I want to
Oink if I want to.
You would oink too if it happened to you."

Hey, all you little piggies. I just harvested enough seed (10, in fact) for 1 pack of Salvia farinacea which I've added to my list if anyone's interested. There is no cultivar name on the packet that I can find, but I'll check again tomorrow to be sure I didn't miss it.

Here you go:
