2009 Lily Bloom # 8

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thats just Henri I saw it on a website yesterday.
I have 1 White Henri from B&D They dont have it anymore.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

No, I'm still working in the spackle mine. Everytime I think I've done enough I see another thing that I need to tear into. It's going to be raining here for the next four or five days, so, I guess it's just as well that if I have to be spackling and painting it's now. Besides, it's going to get nasty hot too... Thank heavens for AC.

Rescued from my family's garden /a home that no longer exists. It was bulldozed and turned into a parking lot after my parents sold it to move into a one story house. A lot of memories went down with that house.

On a lighter note, this is one from the Buggy Crazy 'Queen Strain'. The Queens are delightful.

Its hard to go back. My old garden isnt being tended very well and the new owners sent an email asking why all the lily leaves were being eaten.
My White Henries all going to the beetle just makes me upset.
I just have to let go and take care of the 1 W HenryI managed to bring from there when I moved even tho its illegal.

That is just so pretty...I will have to try again to get it!

Why is it illegal???

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Because in New York state when a client looks at a house ,everything they see goes with it unless there is an exclusionary clause in the house discription.
I dug like mad but the timeing was wrong to bring my plants to the new house, owners were still there and would have stolen anything we brought early.

Oh okay the same here....I had bulbs stuck in pots in the garage when we sold our last house for that reason. Luckily it was fall/winter!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

We found the house in April ,put mine on the mkt in May it was U Guessed it July when we moved

I go away for a few days and come back to be overwhelmed by all of the beautiful images. Tracey, those babies just blow me away.

And Neal, you call my garden naughty and you post a lily names Salsa? LOL

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

LOL, but that wasn't me Donna, that was Moby. I think she's got a naughty names garden going. Oh, wouldn't that make a fun thread, naughty named Lilies! Love that Silver Sunburst!

Moby, Salsa is wonderful! I love heavily spotted Orientals.

Tracey, Lots of blooms your way now I see, and special ones they are too! I love Elegant Crown, just tried my first AO hybrid this year, First Crown, and it was a real stunner. How big are the blooms on Elegant Crown? Have you noticed any fragrance? (I didn't detect any fragrance from First Crown).

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Wow Tracey, you keep on amazing me.
Moby, love that 'Salsa'!

Whoops, sorry Neal. Wicked Moby!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

'Elegant Crown' has a pretty good sized flower, I'd say, but not even the slightest hint of fragrance. The colors in them are very unique, I'd say, amongst lilies, don't you think?

Yes, Moby even has me looking for plants for her naughty garden. I think I saw a daylily that had just sold out called Rumbleseat Romance or something like that. It had her name all over it, until someone snatched the last one at a daylily sale I attended last year. Lol.

'Deliana' sweetly scented.

I'm not sure, but I think this one may be 'Champagne', I had it labeled as something else. I liked the picture though ;) Lovely lily.
