We enjoy seeing these, we did not know that they are an ancient form of butterfly. They are really interesting.

Sometimes confused with moths, Skippers are an ancient form of butterfly.
The Broad-winged Skipper likes tall grasses and wetlands. The adults feed on nectar and the caterpillars eat grass and weeds.
They have a habit of resting with their hind wings horizontal and their fore wings held at an angle, making them look like tiny little fighter jets.
