I don't know about the larva (if they are destructive or not) but this cute little moth seems so shy and innocent. I wish I got a picture but it wouldn't sit still. At first I thought there was a flower stuck to the end of it. The one I saw was so colorful, the wings had blue and the rest of the body was whitish except for the pink and orange fluff on the tail end.

I found this moth on my porch. It is beautiful but with a strange yellow brush looking tail tip that moves around. I was glad to finally ID the moth. I guess it is infrequent in my area of New England.
