A voracious predator, the Robber Fly will overtake it's prey in flight if need be. They rival dragon flies in how effective they are.

They have long slim bodies and long slender legs, three simple eyes and a beard of bristles on it's face.

Eggs are laid in the soil, and the larvae burrow into it in search of prey. they overwinter underground and pupate in the spring.
