This is my first experience with Garden Crossing and I felt confident when I placed my order due to the number of positive comments here. I was not disappointed.

I ordered a total of 13 plants (Heucheras, Coppertina, Sambucus, Amsonia, Columbine, Delphinium and Armeria). They all arrived very large and healthy looking. They were packaged very well and were not the least bit dried out upon arrival. I unpacked them, watered them and this morning I placed them in the flowerbeds. They look right at home with the other plantings.

I'll not hesitate to order from them again.

I liked this company before I ever received my first order from them, because they allowed me to add items to a completed on-line order about one week later so I could combine shipping. I also e-mailed them a question about clematis, and they sent me a very helpful, detailed response.

They notified me yesterday that my order had shipped, and I received it today! (I'm live in Ohio and they're in Michigan, but I still think that's fast.) The plants are large, and in beautiful shape. The soil was still intact and moist. These plants don't even look like they have been shipped.

I will definitely order from Garden Crossings again. Their service and product are A+++

I received my order today. The box had clearly been tossed about, but the plants were so well packaged that the shipping did them no harm. They were moist and padded and just fine.

I am very impressed with the size of the plants. They are the largest I've received by mail order and all look very healthy and sturdy.

Although shipping is not inexpensive, but when is it, I must say the plants themselves were fairly priced, especially considering the size, health and extremely fine packaging.

Excellent mail order nursery.

Received my shipment today and I am very pleased with the size and health of the plants. Packaging protected them even though FedEx did their best to obviously sqeeze a big box through a little chute :) I am a first time customer and will become a life time customer. The entire experience from ordering online to delivery was exceptional. You can not go wrong with this company.

The box was a little banged up on arrival--NOT Garden Crossing's fault. The plants inside were NOT banged up--and that's half the point of a good box: it can take a beating without passing that beating on to the contents.

A couple of the plants had a bit of freeze damage on some outer leaves, and that also is NOT Garden Crossing's fault, considering the Rocky Mountains and Wyoming are between their location and mine. I also asked for my plants earlier than is considered safe. It's still winter in the Rockies, so I'm not surprised things probably got a bit cold in the FedEx truck.

On May 19th, 2006, nevadagdn added the following:

Three shipments later, with plants all intact (excepting that freeze damage, and expected freeze damage at that), I have concluded that if the box says "Garden Crossings" on the "from" label, the Fedex guys see that as "This is a rugby ball. Kick, drop and otherwise mutilate me". Fortunately, the packing inside is sufficient to prevent the plants from being damaged. Still--to the Fedex guys: You do NOT have to emulate the gorillas in the old Samsonite ad!
On May 22nd, 2006, nevadagdn added the following:

All of the plants I received were at least 2-year-old plants, although after starting many plants from seed myself, I have come to understand that doesn't mean it will be a gallon-sized or even quart-sized plant, regardless of pot size. Nothing I received was pathetically small, even if the plants were sent in what I consider to be inappropriately large pots. Everything was, in fact, nice, large (for the age) and stocky. Even the freeze-touched plants are growing nicely now. I wonder what I won't be able to live without next year...
On October 12th, 2007, nevadagdn added the following:

I just received an order of end-of-season plant sale offerings: everthing is healthy and well-grown. One plant has suffered a bit from heat and drought, but the damage is superficial (leaf edges on older leaves are crispy). The prices were very good, and even that slightly damaged plant is well worth the price. I'll probably order from Garden Crossings next spring.
On April 25th, 2008, nevadagdn added the following:

This spring's order was very nice, although I don't think I'll order the "eco-plug" in future. For two dollars more, I get a lot more plant and a pot I'll use, use and re-use.

I can't begin to describe how pleased I was with the plants I received last year! (And I ordered quite a few.) I had also ordered from other online nurseries but none could compare with the size, quality, health, and packaging of Garden Crossings plants! It's like steak vs hamburger. I already placed my first order with them this year and I'm not even going to shop elsewhere. Oh, and the service? First rate! I am now a loyal customer, and you will be too.

Now that I'm starting to think about spring planting, I'm going back to the companies that became my favorites last year, and Garden Crossings is without a doubt number one on that list. I've given up on ordering from other sites that send the most pathetic twigs I've ever seen, over and over. Garden Crossings is the polar opposite experience - delightfully healthy plants, a great selection, reasonable prices....honestly, these are the most wonderful mail-order plants i've ever seen! Actually, they put most regular nurseries to shame as well. I am definitely a customer for life!

My first order from Garden Crossings arrived, and, wow! The scales have been lifted! I've ordered from many other mail order garden sites, but the quality of the plants (perovskias and phlox), the condition in which they arrived, the packing, and even the communication (a tracking number for online inquiries is provided) were far above anything I've seen before, even from other supposedly high-end companies. Even though they aren't the cheapest (but neither are they markedly expensive) they give excellent value for the money. Will I buy from them in the future? Definitely.

My first order from Garden Crossings arrived today in wonderful condition. The plants, all in 2-quart containers, were perfectly packed so as to minimize loss of soil moisture and leaves. The plants are healthy, large, and were shipped to coincide with my zone's fall planting schedule. Garden Crossings' selection of hard-to-find perennials is huge, and I will definitely order from them again.

A real shocker - I am very high on these guys. They are now on my top-notch list. I found them last year while searching for a source for a clematis I was lusting after - 'Barbara'. I have now ordered four times and have been extremely pleased. The plants are large, healthy and reasonably priced. The shipping is not bad - especially the more you order. The customer service is as good as any I've experienced. They will answer any questions and will do whatever is necessary to make you happy. I had a problem with my last order - through no fault of theirs - and they made me happy. The packing is also one of the best I have seen. You simply cannot go wrong with these guys. Should be on your 'Gold' list.

My plants were better than I expected, and the customer service is excellent!

I had used a credit card that we found out had some unauthorized charges on it, so we cancelled it. I forgot about my order from Garden Crossings. They called me, and then I felt bad that I had forgot about using that card for this order. Of course, payment was denied because I had cancelled the card.

They were SOOO good to work with, and very understanding. Even through all this, I received very healthy plants in less than a week.

I've ordered perennials multiple times from many of the best, highest-rated nursuries in this database. I can say without hesitation that the plants I've received from this company are absolutely the biggest, healthiest plants that have come through the mail. Actually they've been better-looking than most of the local offerings I've purchased. The only place that rivals this one in these aspects is Paradise Garden and I believe they are one of Paradise Gardens suppliers so that explains that.

They have an interesting selection of plants. Their prices are really good, especially when you consider how great their plants look. I've ordered a fairly large amount of perennials from them and been happy with every plant.

Thier prices are great considering the quality of the product you receive. The plants are packed particularly well too.

I highly recommond this company.

Good website. Prices are good. Service personable, friendly and efficient (adjusted the computer-generated ship date for my zone to meet the shipping I requested).

But best of all were the size and quality of plants, and the packaging. All of these were *better* than what I've gotten from Plant Delights, who charge premium prices for what they provide (translation -- expensive!) (Nothing against PDN... I've done repeat business with them -- my point is that GardenCrossings exceeded PDN's plant size and packaging, but at bargain prices).

I will absolutely be ordering from these folks again. Soon!

My first order contained between 5-7 plants (I can't remember exactly) but what I can remember is the fantastic quality of these plants! They were packaged so well - the dirt didn't even spill in the box! Then I ordered some gift certs and had the pleasure of speaking to one of the "owners" of the business. He was fantastic! I found more of the items I was looking for available from them than from anywhere else late this season. Late season values are high indeed.
