Comments regarding Katz Kuntry Kuttins

Highly Recommend this seller ordered some brugs all arrived healthy and packed well. Placed a second order because the first was fantastic top of my favorites list.

Ordered 5 Passifloras in a 4" pot. They were well protected and secure. They are quite healthy, with a decent root system.

Shipping was a little slow, without notification. Ordered on March 12th, and they were shipped on the 29th.

Overall, I'd certainly buy from again. If you're the type that orders on a Monday and expect them in 3 days, you'll be frustrated. If you order, and are patient, you'll receive some nice plants for the money.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Typically, we ship orders the following week after order. As stated on my website as well as ebay, I have been doing pre-orders, older orders shipped first. Most of that is over now, so orders will ship normally. As for no notification, FedEx was supposed to send emails for every package...I assume they didn't and I apologize for that."

I recently purchased a Creole Darlin and Dargonfire and they are some of the best flowers I have seen. I have seen pictures of these specific types online and those pictures dont look as good as the flowers the ones I have are putting out.

Have not received plants yet but am leaving feedback in advance as this company comes so highly recommended. Her reputation precedes her which is a nice reflection on this seller. Cannot wait to get my plants which I'm positive are on their way in perfect condition.

The communication on this transaction could have been much, much better.....I heard nothing about a shipping delay until I emailed asking when I could expect my plants....the plants arrived today looking very stressed and shabby.....I will see what happens but will probably not buy from this seller again.

There was a holiday that week. I apologize, I thought most people understood that it's always better to wait until the following week afterwards so there's "hold-over" with your plants.
As for stressed within 2 days it took to receive them, I don't understand because I have left those exact same kind of plants (accidentally) in my hot garage for 3 weeks bareroot and they were fine. They're in the cactus family."

Short story: I placed my order for five 2-gallon plants ($75 + $15 shipping). In the mail I only received two 1-gallon (or smaller) plants. I was obviously disappointed.

I emailed the owner to explain the problem and got *no response*. A month later, I have emailed a second time to see if I can get a response - at this point I just want my money back.

I will provide further detail in a week and update this rating to positive or negative based on whether I get a response this time.

This makes 3 orders I have placed with Katz Kuntry Kuttins. Each of the orders have been for passiflora varieties (in fact I keep buying the same kinds over and over because I end up giving away the plants, or more appropriately my wife does). Each time the plants have been healthy and well packed. Shipping is reasonable (especially when more than one plant is ordered) and packaging is quite good. The flowers that have bloomed for me have been correct (though one has not yet bloomed for me, I have no doubt it will end up being right).

Definitely worthwhile if you are looking for small, very reasonably priced passiflora varieties!

My plants arrived very healthy looking, they were boxed great, and ready to plant. I would definetly buy from katzkuntrykuttins again. Ordered on Friday, received Tuesday. Pretty quick ship.

Katz Kuntry Kuttins was still accessible on Ebay in May 2009 which is where I discovered it in my search for passiflora plants.

My order placed through Ebay using PayPal required an email to Kunry Kuttins to adjust the shipping rate for an order of more than one plant. Kathy responded very promptly with the adjustment expected --- her website indicated a reduced shipping for multiple plants but Ebay/PayPal did not initially transact that appropriately.

My plants arrived promptly, intact, looking good, of the size and quality I expected for the price paid, and arrived in less than one week from date my order was placed.

After waiting three weeks to receive a coral honeysuckle vine, it arrived dead due to poor packing. I was told the wait would be two to three weeks. I was outside doing garden work when the mailman delivered the package. I opened it immediately. I soaked the dried out root ball hoping for a miracle I guess. The owner sounds too busy to run a professional operation.

To all of my past customers ... thanks for a great 7 years. I am not "going out of business", I am only closing my websites. I have a retail nursery that is keeping me busy 6 days a week and I was packaging plants on my off day. It was getting to be too much, so I had to stop the online business. My nursery is in Effie, LA if you ever want to visit.
For you guys who are freaking out because you have not received the plants you bought a week ago (such a long time!), rest assured, you will still get them. I wouldn't do that. You bought it, you will get it.
For you guys who left me negative feedback because it has been 2 weeks since you placed your order and you didn't read the email that I sent you that they had been shipped yesterday..... well, I will be nice :O)

On April 23, 2009, my friend ordered two Angel Trumpets from this company. They promptly debited her account but have yet to send her plants. The company went out of business sometime in April of this year, and cannot be reached.

I ordered two brugs and one passionflower vine. All three plants arrived quickly, well-packaged, and in healthy condition. Strong work.

I ordered 4 passiflora plants on eBay. They arrived well packed in 4" pots, damp bark medium, encased in plastic. All three are alive, but smaller than I expected. One plant was very loose in the medium and wilted. I watered all three and hope they will be fine.

I received a "whiskers" brugsmansia in great condition other than being a little tired from the trip from Louisiana to Tennessee. I was notified by email that it was on its way and received it within a few days. It is a large cutting with a large root ball and was expertly packaged in wet newspaper and tape for protection. It has been in a tall vase of water for a couple of hours and has already sprang to life. I look forward to planting and watching it grow its beautiful angel trumpet blooms. I would do business with this company again if given the opportunity.

My 1 gallon plant arrived within two days of shipping a little stressed but it bounced back within a day. Very pleased with Katz and hope they didn't go out of business as I read above.

My Brug arrived 2 days after it was shipped and was in good shape considering the Florida climate. I am satisfied with the size of the root ball and stems. Thank you for the order.

Received two brugs and five passifloras, packaging was great no damage to the plants. Everything looks healthy. Kathy emailed me to let me know when delivery would take place. Would definitely recommend this nursery and will order from them again.

I love all 12 of the plants I purchased. Prices were great and was really surprised at how large the plants were. Would def. do business with again

Three plants arrived in great shape, wrapped in recycled newspaper. I'm very happy. The rooted brugmansia cutting is huge!

Poor service. No response to 2 e-mails concerning my order.

I ordered Aptenia Cordifolia 4" pot size for 3 pots. It cost $10 + $8 for shipping that actual postage was only $4.95.

What I received were starter size plants. I might say that these plants was as same the amount of one 4" pot size based on my previous purchased from other nursery.

I am unstisfied with the quality and quantity plants and also her "silent" customer service.

I have ordered plants twice from this seller. The plants were advertised as one-gallon plants and indeed they were that size and then some, only sent bare-root to make shipping costs more affordable. I purchased the 10 unknown cuttings package off eBay on Nov. 1st, everything went smoothly, the payment, the shipping(very fast), and I am happy with my nicely rooting, healthy cuttings.
I am not happy with the communication(none whatsoever except to ask me to post a review here)...and I am not happy about not receiving my feedback on eBay yet. It makes me feel like I HAD to post a review here in order to get my feedback on eBay.
Other than that, everything is great.

Order seeds by mail using the web, received fast and overall satisfactory

In May 2007, I ordered 5 Yellow Jacobina plants from this vendor. The price with shipping was $28.00 for the five plants. They are located in Pineville, Louisiana, and I'm in Baton Rouge, so I did not need to opt for expedited shipping... all carriers only take a day for in-state shipping. My plants arrived with the soil still moist, and they did not look stressed from the trip. They did, however, have a fungus on all five plants. I doubt this could have happened during shipment as they were only in the box for a day! I emailed the vendor immediately, but I never received a reply. In the meantime, I planted the jacobina in a large pot (rather than risking putting them in the garden with my other plants), treated the plants with Funginex in hopes that they would pull through, and placed them far away from everything else. The plants did not make it, I never received a response from the vendor, and I will not order from them again. Overall, a very, very disappointing experience. Ev

My order arrived in a very timely manner. The plants were in good shape. The box was full of ants, which seemed to come from the root ball of one of the plants. No problem: happy with the vendor and with the order!

I ordered two epiphyllum from Kathy via Ebay on Saturday. I received them today in the mail!!
