I ordered 9 bare root roses from Jung's and all except one flourished. The sickly one was replaced, but I planted too late and it is not very happy as of this writing, but I blame myself for not requesting a replacement earlier. Their bare root roses were much bigger with more roots than any of the bare root roses available locally. I would recommend them but I wonder if they give you the wimpier plants if you buy one of their inexpensive collections. Also they have the best selection of roses for a non-specialty catalog, including antiques, Austins, and Rugosas. I highly recommend them.

I ordered 10 hostas and several other plants and several packets of seed (about $100 total). Two items were cancelled almost immediately - refund check came within 10 days of order - plenty of time to order elsewhere. Prices seem to be somewhat lower than other reputable catalogs. Hostas were mostly single eye but all in good condition and grew well, as did other plants and seeds. This year's order will probably double.

I've been ordering Jung's seeds for several years and have always had great luck with them. Ordered one white Simplicity rose and two climbing Blaze roses - all three were in excellent condition when they arrived and grew very well last year. The Blaze roses have already shot up to the roof in one season! I would definitely recommend this company (their seeds are also slightly cheaper than some companies.)

We live in NE Wisconsin and have been ordering sweet potato plants from Jung's for the last 8 years. Have tried other sources and always go back to Jung's. I travel to Madison on a monthly basis and have purchased fruit trees, apple trees, shrubs, etc. in their stores. All have done very well and have been larger than what I would get at local nurseries. Bare root items that we have purchased mail order from them have also done well and have been of good size and in good condition upon arrival. If I was limited to one seed / plant source I would choose Jung's.

I have had nothing but good luck with things that I have ordered from this company. They also have some heirloom varieties of fruit trees that are not available elsewhere.

In the spring of 97 I ordered 4- Carefree Wonder roses from this company. All were shipped bareroot. I have never ordered or planted roses this way. The roots were about 1.5 ft long and spindly looking. I followed their planting instructions and I had blossoms up until Thanksgiving (Zone 5). I plan on ordering more for next spring to make a rose hedge. Very Happy with these guys.

I have been dealing with Jung's for over 10 years. I find they are an excellent company and their prices are better than anywhere else I've tried. I usually travel to Randolph to get the bare root stock, I think you get bigger trees and bushes than by mail. I've recommended them to many of my friends, and we've all had good results. If a plant doesn't make it, (you have to expect that once in awhile) they replace it readily.

I ordered a dwarf Korean Lilac from them this spring. For the price I paid, I was surprised at the size of the plant (larger then expected.) It is doing well.

I've had great success with Jung's plants! I just placed another order. And being only 16(With a very limited budget!!), their prices really help me buy what I'd like to buy! And the shipping prices are lower than any other catalog I've ordered from. I love them!

I've ordered from many different seed catalogs for just under 30 years. My overall experience has been favorable. I would rate Jung #1. As I type this my 1998 order to Jung is on my desk ready to be mailed tomorrow.

I live in Minnesota & have ordered from Jung's for the past few years (Hostas, daylilies and bleeding heart). I have had excellent experiences with this company- great service and value. One of my three bleeding hearts didn't come up the following spring and it was promptly replaced, no hassles.

I've placed an order every year for the past 5-6 years. Each year, also place an order with a new catalog. I've NEVER been as satisfied with ANY other company.

I ordered from this catalog in the spring of this year. Almost everything (which was quite a lot) has survived. The best was the David Austin Roses. They have grown beautifully!! I did not get the high bush cranberry bushes and when I called to inquire, they quickly sent replacements. No complaints here and I will buy from them again.

Ordered for spring of 96. Mostly seeds, one rose. 'Seafoam' Rose turned out to be wholesaled by Jackson & Perkins Actually made the trip from California to Wisconsin to Oklahoma. Had a few pale, sun-starved sprouts. However, it quickly recovered and was one of my best rose plants by mid-summer. Price was also lower than J & P's retail catalog. Plan on ordering again.

I have ordered from them each year for about 15 years. They are most helpful on the phone and the quality of the seeds and plants are most satisfactory.

I read some of the comments on the nursery. I've had nothing but good dealings with them. All of the bare root plants were in gook condition, although at the time they were shipped, we had nothing but downpours. I kept them in a little compost in a green house type container. This forced them out of their dormant stage. When I was able to put them into the ground, they already had a few leaves. All are doing well and should double in size this year. I am ordering from them again this summer for August and September plantings. I was particularly satisfied with their Hosta offerings and varieties.

I have had very good results in ordering from this company. I have traveled to their retail outlet in Wisconsin and have visited their test gardens as well. I have ordered from them by mail as well and was always pleased with their products, both seed and live plant. I like the hardiness factor of their line.

I live in the Minneapolis area and my family has ordered materials from this company for over 30 years. Hardiness is a special concern in Minnesota. Jung's is a pretty conservative company that doesn't introduce new developments as some of the other nurseries to our immediate south. The stock they send me has always been very good for me. The small bushes, fruiting trees, and whip trees have been larger and of excellent quality. My father and grandfather who came from North Dakota were quite conservative in ordering out of seed catalogues that had great pictures and new introductions. Over the years as I have ordered introductions from other nurseries who stock items not stocked by Jung's, I appreciate the wisdom of my father and grandfather who knew what would grow in Minnesota and what would not. I have fond memories of Jung's bare root stock on my step in the spring.
