I love that color!! It's on my list.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

LOL Kim well you know I love yellow and love the raindrops on it :-) Very pretty, Tracey! You like the miniatures, don't you? ^_^

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Hey Steve, I actually just *appear* to like the small ones. I have a couple of the Tiny Series, mostly for earlier blooms and I admittedly like pink. 'Angelique' is another short one that I enjoy the color on. Sometimes those little ones are so cute and what else would you plant in front of a taller lily?? Lol. Together they help disguise the weeds.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Okay....just for Pixie: I have no real lilies blooming yet. 'Tiny Athlete' was a cheater, so I am not ahead of you at all ;) Lol. I actually have that one in the garden elsewhere, but when we saw it blooming at the local Garden Center, it just had to be bought.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I can see why, it's a lovely shade of lavender/pink.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

That it is. :)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

The only one I have blooming now is Soiree, a tetraploid.

Tracey, what a pretty pretty pink that is! and such a nice form too!

Pard, love that bright Soiree- it glows!

I got that mess cleared from my first Lilies to bloom, and have some new garden space to plant seedlings needing to be set out :-) These are LA hybrids, either Salmon Classic or Salmon Pride.

Not salmon at all to my eye, but I love the color- reminds me of orange sherbet.

I can't recall the name of these LA hybrids, they came from the Ednie co op last year. They're doing well in partial shade, but the individual blooms still aren't lasting well (fading quickly). I do like the color though.

Thanks, LilyLove!

The first Lilies have opened in my chaotic Butterfly Garden,...

....but, upon closer inspection, I saw this beauty is destined for the great compost bin in the sky.

Neal, wonderful lilies ^-^ Funny that you seem to be right behind me on your blooms for just about everything as we move from south to north.

I noticed a kind of spotting on one of my Tamburos similar to that of that last pink lily you said was going into the scrap heap...I am trying to discern if mine has a virus - or a virus worth worrying about....one of my LA Tamburos I got from B&D a couple years ago. I guess I will need to pull it as well. Hard to see in the picture but look at the blooms in the left foreground of the attached - some dark stains like yours - think that's a virus?

Thing is, I did some reading last night on lily viruses and seems nearly all of them carry some sort oif virus, it's just when they're "overinfected" it starts ot be a problem and they show symptoms - an analogy was made to a person carrying multiple diseases at once making them very sick. I don't know if I want to overreact and yank anything that could remotely be a virus but also don't want to risk infecting other plants with something that could do them a lot of damage.

Any words of wisdom, anyone?

Those 2 stems closest in that shot look suspicious to me. With as many Lilies as you grow, I'd be afraid to keep it around. Such a gorgeous color, its sickening to find symptoms like that!

I've been kinda surprised how close behind your Lily season we've been here. I don't recall having so many this mature, this early before- but I'm not complaining :-)

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Steve, what you can do is discard the virused lily and move the others to an isolated area for observation. Put them in a 'undeveloped' area well away from other lilies. That way, all may not be lost. Had that happen with Kiss Me Kate a few years ago and what is left appears to be OK, so far.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

OK, thanks - this is going to be tough - even pulling the rancid "Sartisfaction" and the huge beautiful bulb was hard - but these are some of my favorites! LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I love 'Backhouse' it went on my 'need' list not my 'want' list. lol

Parkersburg, WV

I found this in my garden the other afternoon, two blooms from one stem. Actually I think 2 stems fused into one, the stem is flat below blooms.

chocolatemoose, Moby,

If memory serves me right it is Monte Negro Lily. I might still have the tag in garage but I have had this lily for three years and had to thin it down last fall,it was taking over the flower bed it was in.

I will look forthe tag, it but might be a few days threw my back out sat. and am a little slow right now.

Oh, Silk Road. Its wonderful. Mine are little sprouts. I will dream of the day they get big and bloom.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

They will, Rita. These have been in the ground now 3 years and are 75" and 77" tall - fence is 8 ft. They should bloom in another week or so.

Wow ~ do you fertilize?

I just love these LO's - Long Island. This one seems to be more heat tolerant than my other LO, Bright Brilliant.
