Summer Lilies 2008 Part 7

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Oh man, you just had to go and post that didn't you? And a picture to boot! Where can we find Purple Reign? Now, I'll be humming that Prince song the rest of the night! LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

But will it bloom at the same time? I bought 'White Pixel" but it blooms too early.

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

Don't know it's name do you?

Mags, is this "Madam Butterfly" O?
I had numbers on one and tag on others of "Madam Butterfly".

"Bright Star" O/P that I have had for yrs. In fact, I ordered more of them this spring.

Enjoy. Still have lots of lilies that haven't opened yet.

great lilies Maxine, keep 'em coming.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Maxine, I would say either 'Geisha Girl' or the numbered Japanese Hybrid, most likely 'Geisha Girl'.

Beautiful, beautiful....

'Peace'

It's interesting how the weather during a given year can change the looks of a lily when it's blooming.

'Pink Heaven'

Because of the overall cooler weather we've had this summer, this one looks a lot more pink this year.

My lilies have fairly small blooms this year compared to other years. I know it's the the lack of water but there is nothing I can do......we have well water and I have to be careful.

Oooh Moby, Max and Mags, nice. :)

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

So many beauties, so little space :(

Here's some Stargazer that were newly planted last fall. I took advantage of Michigan bulbs offer to buy $25 and get $25 of bulbs free, or something like that. All I remember is I got 9 of these free. I know it's not a great place to buy from, but they sure look good.

there are times when one must take advantage of these offers!

(Judith) Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I might reconsider Michigan Bulbs!

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

Will Purple Reign bloom similtaneously with Landini? I don't know. But I would kinda expect it too, as it would seem to have very similar, if not the exact same parentage. (I guess I'll leave that for you to look up). White Pixel is obviously of a different lineage.

Wonder what gremlin takes my tags?

As I have heard of it happening before, I have "nightmares" of birds pulling the labels from all my plant materials.

I applaude you being water-wise. The only thing I know that will help is mulch, and lots of it. And shade.

Tags...at my house it's the chippies who steal them!!

Purple Reign & Landini would look good! :)

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Lady Alice O. I think.

Maxine, you have a great collection. Purple KIng is stunning!

Moby, Rosy Dawn looks like a sweet one.

Thanks to all of you for helping me get through a very, very long night at work. The little gal I'm doing a 1:1 with has slept almost all night, so looking at photos of lilies and dayliles has kept me entertained.

Susan

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Glad you had a quite night, Susan.

Love that China Express!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Wish I'd waited to post Nippon ~ I'd forgotten about the pink edge that it gets.
