Here is 'Tiny Nanny'. A whole lot of bloom on this first year shortie. It looks like its own bouquet.

Ticker, your red one looks like the noid I posted on the 8th right down to the orange bud. I was surprised by the color when it finally opened.

Oh, Tropical Dream is absolutely dreamy, jmorth.

I love those subtle-toned ones. But I guess I love the bright ones too.

This is Pixie Orange (or is it Orange Pixie? :). They were one of our first to bloom and are long since finished. But they really were beautiful. In a big pot right outside mother-in-law's door (she's 87 and loves flowers so I try to always have some growing and blooming for her). She really adored these - so bright and so very "there"; she couldn't stop talking about them.

Very nice, everyone...!

Wow, I was just watching the national news from Iowa - Cedar Rapids specifically. What terrible flooding. I hope all of our DG friends in that area like Ticker, Ililyfan, Wanda, and others are OK??

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Steve, I think Wanda is ok, as is Colette (Alwaysweeding), Linda (LindaIA) and most of the planning group for the Iowa RU are ok, but I'm not sure. Our friend Cindy's (Want2bee) house is probably flooded out in Palo Iowa. I believe they had to evacuate yesterday or the day before.

The cities of Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Coralville, and all the other ones up-stream like Waterloo, Independence, Vinton, are going to have major, major damage. This weather will just not quit. And it's not just Eastern Iowa, the whole state is a hurting unit.

go to www.kcrg.com they will probably have flood photos.

It's raining again and there are Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for the area.

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

you guys are having a terrible time weatherwise!

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

It's not fun, others suffer far more. But right now, it doesn't seem that way.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Visited with llilyfan this morning, she's fine. :)

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I hope the weather will ease up for all of you that are being affected.

Me too, for everyone concerned.

I finally have a couple lilies blooming so all is good here.
Here's Kiss Me Kate, which I haven't seen bloom for a couple years, since removing a virused bulb and segregating the rest. So far so good.

And Pink Pixie which has been open for a few days.

Moby, 'Kiss Me Kate' is lovely! And the bachelor's buttons compliment her nicely!

Until my lilies open up, I've this crocosmia 'Lucifer' to share.

Southern Iowa where I live is fine. We have no rivers anywhere near the terrible state of the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids. I feel so helpless while my friends are all going through this indescribable flooding.

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Very glad to hear you're all okay!

Mackinaw, IL(Zone 5a)

Every time I see Cedar Rapids on the news, I think of all the people from Cedar Rapids area that I met at the RU. I keep looking for updates from them. Has anyone heard from Wanda? I know Larry from Amana posted that his wife barely made it across the bridge to get home from teaching a swimming lesson, and even then only because the director told her she had to leave mid-lesson, or she wasn't going to make it.

Thoughts and prayers with all from that area!

I talked to Wanda last night and she was fine.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

I can't believe I haven't been watching this forum! Love all these beauties.
I bought from a coop last year. Can you help me figure out what group these belong to
1 Asiatic 'Bold Color Mix"
2 Orientpet
3 This is Stargazer right?

What does OT mean?

Thumbnail by bananna18
Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

1 is Stargazer (oriental)
2 would be your OT
3 is your asiatic

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Tiger lilium. Moby, please elaborate on OT, I'm not familiar with the term. Thanks.

It is a cross between an oriental and a trumpet. Sometimes shortened to 'orienpet'.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Moby.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

You're welcome.

Lilies are really going to start popping in the next few days. Here's 'Dimples'

Lilies are looking dood everyone. I like that bright Orange pixie Jo and that cute Dimples Moby. All I have blooming is Monte Negro. I planted 6 of them around the water meter last fall. Hope next year they will be tall enough to hide the meter. Ceres is just starting to open in front. Planted a few new ones today that I got from an eBay seller: Pink Giant, Radiance, Purple Reign, Luxor and Orania. Not bad looking bulbs and all had sprouts growing. May not do much this year since I'm late planting them.

I like your Red Dutch, aggie. I might try some of them next year. B&D has a cool OT variety called "Pink Jazz" I've decided I really want, once it goes on sale.

Silk Roads are still hanging in there, despite the heat.
