Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Kassia - I have miniature cascading roses at the front of my iris bed....I keep them away from around the base of the iris plants though......

South Hamilton, MA

Eye of the tiger is Dutch

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

there are lovely
but cant win in show
i can enter but no ribbons on Dutch , because they are not really iris because of bulb not rhizome

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

where do you guys get your irises from???

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I get most of mine from Snowpeak: http://www.snowpeakiris.com/

You can look on-line and find growers in your part of the country - I know Phoenix Flower Farm in upstate NY grows and sells, I used to buy lilies from them years ago, and they have been recommended to me for plants for my Dad's garden.....

Los Alamos, NM(Zone 5a)

To tazzy's list I would add:
Aitken's Salmon Creek Iris Farm.
Keppel's
Willow Bend

Keppel is not on the internet but you can email him for a catalog. His iris rhizomes are huge. Willow Bend is not well known but sends great iris as well.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

I thought Keppel wasnt selling this year .
rumor i guess
love his stuff and of course him.
Atkins is good too !my friend has bought nice ones from them

Los Alamos, NM(Zone 5a)

I have bought from Keppel and yes, he is still selling. I have his current catalog. He sells his own and now Barry Blythe's introductions. Cool stuff!
Aitkens sells his own introductions and those of another person whose name I can't remember and then he sells lots of other iris, not his own and historics. The iris he sells are all first class in size and health.
Willow Bend is in Colorado. It has nice iris and daylilies, and lots of arilbreds. Their rhizomes and service are excellent.
And I like all of those named by tazzy except a couple of them I haven't ever tried. The rest, I have tried and like a lot.

Louisville, KY

Keppel has the most amazing new iris called SPOOKY ~
has anyone seen it. New ones aren't cheap, but I LOVE this new one.

Um, just for a mention I did a short thread that got buried but I bought irises from Garden Crossings and they are the only sellers I've seen that ships them in pots WITH BUDS! They only have about a dozen or so but the whole dang family comes along not just mama rhizome.

Here is Red at Night a day after I got it IN THE MAIL!
(They weren't all like this, 3 of 6 had buds)

The order from Cooley's last summer their rhizomes were tennis ball size..all have bloomed this season..

Louisville, KY

Cooley's is my other favorite besides Schrieners.
I just ordered a bunch from both today.
now where will I put 'em? I don't know.

Texas/Okla central b, United States(Zone 7b)

I even prefer Cooley's over Shriners and most at half the price

Shawna,

Your round Iris bed is wonderful!

Do you know the name of the Iris on the lower left of your first pic? Beautiful! The Iris in the lower right of your first pic looks to be Magharee, is it? I got that one from Schreiner's last year, but it didn't make it this year. Gotta get that one again!

Do you know the name of the Iris in the second pic in the upper left? It's gorgeous! Do you know the name of the Iris in the second pic in the lower right? Love it!

What is that very beautiful pink Iris that you posted on May 16 at 10pm? I gotta get that one!

I love the colors on Best Bet, have to get that one!

I planted some last Fall and none have bloomed yet.

Thanks for the Iris tour of your bed!

Yes, please do post your pics in Plant files. There's nothing more frustrating than looking for a particular iris and not having a picture, or the picture isn't very good for identity purposes.

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

Beautiful slide show! I am in zone 5b and this will be my first year for blooms which are not open YET! I am jealous of your blooms ,but remain hopeful after seeing your awesome slide show. My Iris are supposed to be two varieties of blue colors,Full Tide and Dover Beach. Last year they tried to bloom in late October, but died before blooming. I keep going out every morning for the past 10 days and the blooms are ready to open, but not a one is out yet.

Plantfiles shows these two varieties but they don't look all that blue in the photos on file. I hope I will not be disappointed in the colors when they finally come out☺

Keep this Slide Show coming!
