Spuria or Dutch iris if rhizome spuria

Lizella, GA(Zone 8a)

thanks, I am going right out and dig one up to see.
I have a question???? It is going to be down to 33 and 32 the next two nights. Guess this will freeze and melt the ones that are open. What about the buds?
Thank you, Elaine

Any ideas on the name of this iris? It is a tall one and does very well in my yard. I love that the surface of the bloom has a look like gold glitter was scattered on it. However, I can't seem to photograph that to show!

cactuspatch, that doesn't look like a TB to me. The flowers appear too small and the stalks too thin. It looks more like an MTB (miniature tall bearded), though I haven't a clue which one. It's not one with which I am familiar.

Durham, ME(Zone 3a)

Larkie,

One unknown looks so much like Dawn Crest, an histoic I lost in a flood like conditions one year. The one with peach pink standards and yellow falls with orange beard. Whether or not it actually Dawn Crest it looks so much like it that I would love a piece of that when you have enough to share.

My old pic of Dawn Crest is faded and not very clear but it was one of our favorites for many years.

Mainer,
Which one? None of these have any pink at all..

Beautiful iris Louise. How have you been? Larkie,Could your softer yellow iris be envy? I had one to bloom the other day exactly like it or very very close.

Here is one that I do recall the name because I got it partly because of the name, In Stitches. Geez, wonder why the thumbnail is cutting off part of it?

Nice photos everyone!

JanetS. glad you posted.. I was pretty sure mine was 'Steppin out', but your camera is obviously better than mine. My iris was more purple than what the camera showed, but I didn't want to edit it for the post. Can't wait for my Zinger to bloom that you gave me at the plant swap. You aren't coming to S.Ga. swap? I will have another iris blooming tomorrow.
My irises did fine even down to 32 degrees we had. Blooms were not even melted. We have some tree shelter.

I will have lots of unknowns this year...I marked them all, but didn't write names on the backs of most of the markers...so the sun and rain have pretty much marked the slates CLEAN...so no names...oh, well, they're going to be some beautiful no names in my garden for sure this year! LOL
