Just "hopping" in real quick! I'll be back to read the posts, but had to show y'all our sunrise at the beach this morning!
March Daily Weather, Spring has Sprung!!!
Sidney, it's nice that the picture is real. I have been up there before but never saw it quite that floriferous.
Near record high temperatures today and Sunday...
Today
Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s to around 90. Local north to northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with stronger gusts this morning...mainly in the San Fernando Valley.

Flooding still bad in southern MO and along the Mississppi River. Supposed to get worse before it gets better due to rising water levels in the Norhern States.
Weather is decent here. On the cool side but it is supposed to warm up later in the week.
Thanks for clearing that up Marylyn #1 for clearing that up.
Sure is cloudy, but no rain here.
I love that picture you posted too Sharon.

Ric I recall there being flood marks at the Cinncinatti Garden show last year.
Is that all under water again?
whispering, it's 58º right now
It's supposed to get down to 34º monday night.
;)
Good morning and Happy Easter! :-)
It's overcast with a very slight drizzling of rain, very light breeze and 40°F.
Debi - Thanks :-) That clematis is gorgeous! And are those azaleas blooming in the background?
Ric - that's a lot of water!
Sharon - fantastic sunrise!
Adina - those spring blooms are so pretty :-)
Have a great day everyone!
Rann
No Sharon this was a minor flood.
Parts of the Park are under water but just barely.
I'd say the Outdoor Concert Hall is under and parts of the back Parking Lot..
The Lake Como area where the Show will be is
High, Dry and covered w/ Ducks and Geese.
At 52' it's more an inconvience than a threat.
Now 55' + it gets into Evacuation Mode here.
Well not 'Here' as we are up on the top of the Valley.
But the 'River Rats' they be a movin'!
Like cloud cover and 28° here going for 46°
Same tomorrow... then the temps will start rising fast.
62° by Tuesday 68° by Friday.
But Rain will move back in again.
The Flowering Pictures are terrific you guys!
I tried a Daff shot but it was too dark.
So here's a Pulmonaria
Ric
HAPPY EASTER!!!
Sidney – Love that opening picture!
TF – Love all the chick pics! Too cute!
Ric – Your cabinets and speakers look great! And what a great idea!
E_B – Beautful Winter pictures!
Kelli – Those are some colorful names you came up with! LOL! California is lovely wearing green. I’ll be looking for your article 10/1.
Rann – Spring! Pretty blooms you’ve got!
Kiska – Love the pictures! I bet those sea horses were amazing up close. You’ll have to let us know if you win the guessing game!
Marsue – I hope all is well on your end.
Joey – Beautiful daffodils! I’m going with B. So glad Garrett made some money on the bike!
Marylyn – Glad you found your camera (snicker!)! I may have done that before! LOL! I miss seeing the bluebonnets on the side of the interstates. Beautiful butterfly. The white flowers aren’t amaryllis, I’m thinking phlox. That “contraption” big bunny was on looks like an exercise machine! Great pictures!
Adina – Hope you’re feeling better today. Beautiful trees!
Pepper – Glad you are safe from the floods.
Deb – Thanks! Beautiful clematis!
Ric – OMG – The flooding is horrible. Doesn't look minor to me...
Rann- Beautiful yellow flowers! What are they?

Partly cloudy. High 70. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
I have a couple of pictures I'd like to share from the sunrise service at Peters Point Beach. The service began at 7:15. Our Pastor is in the hat! It was a little chilly/breezy on the water.
The areas that are flooded are designed too.
They are basically recreation areas that the water can't hurt too much.
Plus it fertilizes the grass.... lol!
And feeds the water birds and scavengers.
By Tuesday it will all be about drained off.
Ric
Sharon: Beautiful photos - regardless of your vantage point!
Rann - Yes, those are azaleas. They are really blooming big this year.
Ric - No much soccer being played on your field apparently. :)
Went to visit a fellow DGer yesterday and swap some plants. These guys were near the road to their house. Enjoying the spring sun.
Meanwhile (Grrrr!); Freeze warning for tomorrow night! Crikey! Not now. All my gingers are up, even the verbena is blooming. Sigh.
Deb
Happy Easter!
I'm behind again :((
We have 35* and snow that doesn't stick. It's mostly chilly and gloomy. I've been sowing a lot of flower seeds!!
Happy Easter all
It's sunny and clear.
Joey I beleave it's inversion. Theis is a major proublem with El Paso as they have (or did have) a steel mill and those fumes would get trapped on the east side of the Franklin Mts.
Sharon you certainly trapped some beautiful sunrise service pictures.
I have larengitis(sp?)
Sidney
Ric, sorry, I forgot to answer your question yesterday. The yellow flowers are encelia. The giant corepsis were blooming along PCH but there weren't any where we went hiking.
Still unseasonably hot, though we have an unseasonably hot spell every year, so I guess it's seasonably unseasonable.

Sharon: those are absolutely beautiful photos of the sunrise service. I felt like I was there. Thank you for posting them.
I've been away from the computer for 4 days and it put me way behind. I missed being here and hearing the news of you all and seeing the photos.
Ric: those photos on Flickr look a lot like parts of Arkansas looks right now.
Thankfully we didn't have any flooding in our immediate area but much of the state did haveand still has flooded areas. Thank goodness our forecast for the next 10 days is good except for tonight--it will get down into the low 30's--after that it looks like beautiful spring-like weather for a while.
My grape hyacinths have finally bloomed so it must be officially Spring. Hooray!
Most of the flooding has finally crested and will start going down now. The only thing to keep that from happening is more rain/snow up north or around here. It still won't take much to cause major flooding again.

Happy Easter, everyone!
But Ric, there's a yacht in the soccer field! That doesn't look like minor flooding to me. (LOL) My parents have a friend who lives very near the junction of the Ohio and the Muskingum in Beverly, Ohio, and she has to evacuate every spring about this time as all of the snow melts upstream.
Sharon, Ok, phlox makes more sense... It didn't look like amaryllis to me, but there were "amaryllis" signs near it in two places so I thought it was just an amaryllis I hadn't seen before. LOL Your sunrise photos were GORGEOUS!!! even if you weren't sitting in the perfect spot. :-)
Sidney, awww... I hope you feel better soon!
Deb, yikes! I hope your gingers make it ok.
Rann, those flowers are beautiful. Are you and your little ones feeling better now?
We were originally supposed to have a chilly front come through with lots of rain. I don't know where it went, but it didn't find us. :-) Well, it is cooler than yesterday, and it is going to get down in the 40s tonight, but we had no rain.

Sidney – Bundle up good tonight if you’re working. Hope your throat gets better soon.
Marsue – Glad you didn’t receive any flooding. Spring is in your area too!

Today
Mostly cloudy early then partly cloudy. Windy and cooler. High 63. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
It got cool yesterday. Out high was 70*, but didn't make it above 68*. It was warm in the sun, but the wind was cool. We're in for an even cooler day, now I must dig out some warmer clothes. It is unusual for us to get this cool this late in the season. Might be some kind of record tonight. I'll have to look it up.
Thanks everyone~ it's good being back, but slow in catching up:)) You're right, m2keep~1/2 just doesn't quite cover it.
The eye is a bit better, too.
37*
Mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid 30s to lower 40s. Northeast wind 10 to 20 mph
My guesses for the ice-going out on the Nenana river: April 14- 6:28pm and May 9, 6:28 pm.
Love seeing spring's arrival everywhere; keep posting those flowers:)
Kiska
Sugar, hope you get over your laryngitis quickly. I hate having things like that!
Kelli, more neat architect! Your camera takes amazing pictures! Is that a sink hole in front of the colunms?
Marsue, I love grape hyacinths!
Pepper, glad you aren't flooded out. Most of our cricks and rivers have gone down.
Sharon, we're windy today like you. Love the picture, it's really different!
Kiska, hoping spring finds you soon!!!
45* with a stiff south breeze. It's not pleasant out.
Thanks, Billy. A lot of the time I'm not all that happy with my camera but once in a while I get a good shot. I think that is an excavation pit in front of the columns.

Kelli: Beautiful iris!
Billy: Hope things get more pleasant for you soon!
Kiska: Glad the eye is a bit better.
Sharon: The freeze watch is now a freeze warning. Depends on which weather service you check, but we should get down to between 32 and 35 with "patchy frost". Just came in from spreading a bit of laundry around the garden.
Deb
Kiska – Glad to see you back! Wow – that’s a lot of snow - beautiful picture!
Kelli – Gorgeous Iris!
Deb - I'll be doing some "laundry" as well sigh....

Tonight
Clear...colder. Low 38. Northwest winds decreasing to 5 to 10 mph in the evening...then becoming light inland overnight.
Supposed to be a record low tonight. Oh goody....
Sharon: No records here, ours just says "unseasonable cold". :) Still, it seems unfair to all those blooming flowers and little green sprouts. Good luck with your "laundry" - hope it does the trick!
Kelli: Lupines are such wonderful, exuberant plants. Wish I could grow them here.
Deb
20 degrees here this AM. 20 degrees below normal for this time of year here. BUT, we don't have flooding or plants so far advanced that they would be frozen. have to spread fertilizer over the daylily beds tomorrow. Then rest until the moon fades away. When the new moon comes into being, spring will start here in Pa.
Billy, your extra water came down here. LOL
